Built on repeat appointments

The business started in cost consultancy — the discipline of telling a client what a building will really cost, and then holding that figure through design and construction. That remains the spine of the practice.

As clients asked for more, MAC added the services that sit naturally alongside it: project and programme management, building consultancy and surveys, capital funding support, health and safety advice, and specialist external wall system work. Each was added because existing clients needed it, which is why the service lines work on the same appointments rather than as separate businesses.

Today the practice works from 7 offices, across 8 sectors including education, higher education, healthcare, retail, residential, industrial, hospitality and visitor attractions. Directors remain personally involved in appointments; that has not changed with scale.
