How an appointment is set up

  1. 1. A conversation, not a proposal template

    Tell us the scheme, the stage and the decision you need to make. A director in the nearest office responds — usually with questions before figures.

  2. 2. A scope you can compare

    We set out what the appointment covers, which stages it spans, who does the work and what is excluded, so it can be compared fairly with other consultants.

  3. 3. Fees related to the work

    Fee basis is agreed against a defined scope rather than a percentage plucked from the value. Changes in scope are flagged before they become variations.

  4. 4. Named people for the duration

    The director who advises at feasibility stays with the appointment. Continuity is the point of a practice this size.
